Day 1:

Arrival into Zanzibar ? Beach Resort Upon your arrival at the Zanzibar airport, you will be met and transferred to your Beach Resort/Lodge.

Day 2:

Zanzibar Beach Resort : (Day 2 and 3) Nicknamed the ?Spice Island?, Zanzibar has so much to offer. Enjoy the next few days relaxing on the pristine white beaches and the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Take in a spice tour and sample the exotic flavours that make this island so famous, visit the Jozani Forest (in hopes of spotting the Red Colobus Monkey), scuba dive or snorkel, or just relax and watch the world go sailing by on a Dhow.

Day 4:

Zanzibar ? Stone Town : Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to our hotel in Stone Town. From its mouth watering cuisine to its fascinating architecture; Stone Town is a fusion mix of Arabic, European, Indian and African influence. Take a step back in time to the days of the Sultan while walking through the labyrinth of streets that make up this ancient town. No matter where we wander to, every corner seems to lead to a new adventure!

Day 5:

Tour Concludes : After breakfast, we will be transferred back to the airport to catch our flight back home. Tour concludes.

Day 1:

Mandara Hut : 8km, 4-5 hours, 845m / 2773ft ascent. This morning we will begin the trek through the lush rainforests that will lead us to the Mandara Huts for overnight. (2705m/8875ft).

Day 2:

Horombo Huts : 11.5km, 6-7 hours, 1014m / 3326ft ascent. This morning we way through the unique vegetation with amazing views of the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. Overnight at the Horombo Huts. (3719m / 12,201ft).

Day 3:

Acclimatization day ? Horombo Huts : Optional day trip to the Mawenzi View Point or Zebra Rock to help acclimatize (Mawenzi Base Camp 4538m / 14,888ft). Overnight Horombo Huts. (3719m / 12,201ft).

Day 4:

Kibo Huts : 9.2km, 6-7 hours, 994m / 3262ft ascent. After breakfast, begin ascent past the last water point and continue across ?The Saddle? which bridges the Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. Overnight at the Kibo Huts. (4713m / 15,463ft).

Day 5:

Uhuru Peak ? Horombo Huts : 19km, 12-16 hours, 1182m / 3878 ft ascent, 2176m / 7140ft descent We will make our way to Gillman?s Point (5703m / 18,711ft) and continue on to Uhuru Peak, (5895m / 19,341ft). After summiting, descend back to Kibo Huts, across the Saddle and back to the Horombo Huts for overnight. (3719m / 12,201ft).

Day 6:

Marangu Gate : 19.5km, 5-7 hours, 1859m / 6099ft descent. After breakfast, continue our descent to the entrance of the Marangu Gates to celebrate our achievments. Tour concludes. (1860m / 6102ft).

Day 1:

Miriakamba Hut : 13.5km, 4-6 hours, 1000m / 3281ft ascent; This morning we will begin our trek from the Momella Gates making our way through the game filled parkland past the Giant Arched Fig Tree and large stream just above the Maio Waterfalls continuing enroute to the Miriakamba Huts for overnight. (2514m / 8248ft).

Day 2:

Saddle Hut : 5.2km, 3-5 hours, 1056m / 3465ft ascent; After breakfast, we will continue our trek up the Elephant Ridge with stunning views of the crater and the cliffs below Mount Meru?s summit. Continue to Saddle Huts for overnight. (3570m / 11,713ft).

Day 3:

Mount Meru Summit - Miriakamba Hut : 15.6km, 8-11 hours, 992m / 3254ft ascent, 2048m / 6719ft descent Early morning rise and begin trekking along the narrow ridge toward the summit. Our trek is exhilarating and the views of the sun rising in the distance behind Kilimanjaro are breathtaking. Continue past Rhino Point and onwards to the summit of Mount Meru (4562m / 14, 967ft), Tanzania?s second highest mountain. After summiting continue to Mirakamba Huts for a well deserved overnight! (2514m / 8248ft).

Day 4:

Momella Gate : 9.2km, 2-3 hours, 1000m / 3281ft descent; Continue down through the open meadows and streams to the Momella Gate. Tour concludes. (1514m / 4967ft).
